There is one more week in the terms of the outgoing LACMTA Toastmasters Officers and we’d like you to join us in celebrating the past years accomplishments. On Tuesday June 26 join us for a party – bring a dish, beverage or whatever and gather at 12pm to share in the fun.

I’d like to express my thanks to the following for helping make my experience in the group challenging and fruitful:

• Falan Guan, Club President
• Bertha Bruner, Vice President of Education
• Kathy Hendry, Sergeant at Arms
• Gene Hargreaves, Vice President of Membership AND Treasurer (and Past President)

We’ve gained valuable new members such as Paul Burke, Tony Li and potential newbies Jennifer Gill and Mike Gainor will be welcome additions, I’m certain. (Paul’s energy and excitement is contagious) Gayle Anderson’s wit and humor keep us in stitches and Cynthia Jimerson’s family reunion speech was definitely worth the wait (smile).As we move forward into the new term, please help us welcome the new officers and support other members as they achieve success in their programs. Three members achieved CTM status (Congratulations Paul, Joe and Kathy) in the past year and one of ours won at a regional contest (Falan Guan).

If you haven’t been to a meeting in a while, stop by and bring a friend. I hope in the coming year to build on this past year’s success and make our club more accessible, visible to fellow employees and the public.
