Word of the Day - SMES (Subject Matter Experts)

Meetings are most exciting when we have participation from our guests and other unexpected sources. Nothing against our regular, hard working members and officers but this week's meeting was another example of this phenomena. From a great invocation from Treasurer Gene Hargreaves to Paul Burke's Table Topics and everything in between we had another GREAT meeting!

Metro's Toastmasters welcomed Michael Gholampour, District 42 Area Governor, back to the club. Michael delivered a thought-provoking presentation on societal issues and his segment could have gone on for much longer. Members and guests alike chimed in with very interesting ideas and comments.

Vice President of Membership Jennifer Gill deliver a follow up to her exciting Icebreaker as well. Her speech, which highlighted some of the interesting stories surrounding her many travels, picked up where her last one left off and by the comments received in her review, continued to fascinate. We look for much more from this promising member.

As the holidays approach, we may have fewer meetings as members schedule vacations and time off to be with loved ones. We'll keep you informed on any changes and hope to have information out to you on our annual holiday party.
